The Consulate General of the Philippines in Nagoya wishes to inform the Filipino public in the Chubu region as follows:
-
We have received a total of 8,548 mail packets, to be sent out to voters whose names are listed in the Consulate’s Certified List of Overseas Voters (CLOV).
-
We are in the process of sorting, double-checking, and stamping the packets for mailing, as part of our quality control. An initial batch of the mail packets has been mailed to their recipients, while the rest will be sent out in the next few days.
-
We are taking extra steps in ensuring the complete and orderly inventory of the mail packets to help ensure the integrity of our elections. We therefore hope for your kind understanding in awaiting your ballots, which are being sent—both to the voter and subsequently back to the Consulate—as registered mail through Japan Post.
-
The Consulate assures the Filipino public that the ballots sent out to you have sufficient postage to enable their return to the Consulate.
-
Those who have received their mail packets are advised to fill out their ballots according to the instructions in the mailing packets and mail them back to us as soon as possible. The deadline for the Consulate to receive ballots is on 9 May 2022, 8:00 PM (Japan time). Voters are strongly urged not to wait for the last minute to send back their ballots.
-
Voters may wish to regularly check the Consulate’s website (https://nagoyapcg.dfa.gov.ph/) for updates on overseas voting.
