02 February 2022 – SBI Remit Co., Ltd. has offered to work closely with the Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya and support its activities for the Filipino community in Aichi and nearby prefectures.
The introductory meeting with SBI Remit is one of the Consulate’s efforts to expand its network of contacts and future partners in the Chubu Region. Both parties discussed the possibility of conducting activities for the Filipino community.
In an online courtesy call on the Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya via Zoom on 31 January 2022, SBI Remit Representative Director Mr. Nobou Ando informed the Consulate that SBI Remit regularly conducted lectures on financial matters for Filipinos bound for Japan during the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS), held in coordination with the Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA).
Mr. Ando also expressed his gratitude to Filipinos in Japan for using SBI Remit in sending remittances to the Philippines.
SBI Remit briefed the Consulate Team on its financial services for Filipinos and other clients, available through ATMs in Japan and SBI Remit’s website and mobile app.
Mr. Ando was joined by Ms. Patricia Ogawa, Division Manager – Sales and Marketing (Tokyo), Ms. Cris Anne Crispono, and Ms. Mary Jane Iwani, SBI Remit-Sales and Marketing (Nagoya).
