Tsushima Mayor pays Courtesy Visit at the PH Consulate General in Nagoya

On 21 March 2025, the Honorable HIBI KAZUAKI, Mayor of Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture called on DCG Jerome Castro to invite participation to the Owari Tsushima Wisteria Festival on 23 April 2025.

The yearly festival showcases the village of waving wisteria, known as "fuji" in Japanese, and are a popular sight in Japan during spring, characterized by their long, cascading clusters of fragrant flowers, often in shades of purple, pink, and white.

Mayor Hibi hoped that Filipinos residing in Aichi as well the neighboring areas would also visit Tsushima to experience the beauty and splendor of the festival.

The Consulate General of the Philippines, along with Filipinos in the region, have been regularly supporting the cultural events of Tsushima City since 2021. END
