
06 October 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya and members of the Filipino community in central Japan held a get-together on Sunday, 02 October 2022.
This get-together was organized to enable members of the Filipino community to meet in person the officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Nagoya, ask their questions, and share their feedback on the Consulate’s services.
Consul General Celeste Vinzon-Balatbat answered queries on passport and civil registry matters, labor and immigration concerns, and plans and priorities of the Consulate for Filipinos in Japan.
The get-together was also live-streamed through the Consulate General’s Facebook account to allow more members of the community to attend the event, while adhering to physical distancing and other health protocols at the venue.
After the event, Mr. Jody Umali, a member of the Filipino community in Nagoya, extended his gratitude to the Consulate and the Filipino community for their collaboration in making this dialogue possible. (His full message is available in the following link.)
The event, which was held at the Catholic Johokubashi Church in Nagoya, was attended by more than 70 individuals and members of various Filipino organizations from the Chubu region.
