Join us for the Panel C: The Philippines, Iberia, and the Pacific View the Quincentennial of the Inaugural Session of the Philippine International Quincentennial Conference. This conference is an official program of the 2021 Quincentennial Commemorations in the Philippines and is in solidarity with the Year of Filpino Pre-Colonial Ancestors. The National Quincentennial Committee, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines serves as conveners for this session.
Joining us for this panel are Mr. Javier Parrondo, Director of the Casa Asia/Asia-Europe Foundation; Dr. Jose Manuel de Carvalho Marques, Secretary General of Estrutura de Missão para as Comemorações do V Centenário da Circum-navegação; Dr. Carlos Madrid Álvarez-Piñer, Director of Research of the Micronesian Area Research Center-University of Guam, and Dr. Rene R. Escalante, Chairperson of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and Executive Director of the National Quincentennial Committee This panel is moderated by Assistant Secretary Eduardo Martin R. Meñez of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
