The session re-examines the role of religion, colonialism, and the Philippine revolutions through the lens of 1521 and its developmental contributions to Philippine history.
For Panel B | Colonization and Revolutions, Dr. Fernando A. Santiago Jr. and Dr. Marlon Delupio will discuss the Colonial experience of Southeast Asia and how the colonial resistance continued past 1896 with the Sakdal Movements of the 1930s. Prof. Michael Charleston "Xiao" Chua will moderate the panel.
Session 4 is convened by the De La Salle University Manila Department of History.
